About this house rental
Mickey and I built this place to be the kind of summer house we'd want to stay in — somewhere a family or group can land for a week or settle in for the whole month. Sleeps 10, fenced yard for the dogs, half a mile to the boat launch on Cross Lake, a quick bike ride into town for restaurants and groceries, and just an hour up I-35 from the Twin Cities or an hour south of Duluth.
THE HOUSE
- 5-bedroom, sleeps 8
- Master upstairs with walk-in closet and en-suite bath
- Big living room with vaulted ceilings, deck off the slider
- Game room in the basement
- Full kitchen with everything you'd want — quality coffee maker, propane grill on the deck, pots/pans/utensils stocked
- Central AC, fast WiFi, streaming-ready TVs
GETTING AROUND THE HOUSE
Mostly single-level living: two steps at the entry, then two bedrooms, a full bathroom with both a tub and a standing shower, kitchen, laundry, and living space all on the main floor. The master suite and basement level are up and down stairs. Not wheelchair accessible.
THE SETTING
- 3-car garage + 3-car driveway — bring the boat or RV (one out front)
- Fully fenced backyard with a fire pit (firewood provided)
- Big deck for morning coffee
- Half a mile from the Snake River Landing boat launch — Cross Lake (938 acres) and Pokegama Lake (1,536 acres) are right there
- Half-mile bike ride into downtown Pine City for restaurants, brewery, groceries
PET-FRIENDLY
- 2 dogs welcome ($50/pet/stay), 3 with prior approval
- Fully fenced yard, off-leash anytime
- Designated pet area with bags and gloves provided
- Inside: please keep pets off furniture and beds
A SUMMER RENTAL
- Open May through October only
- Available as a full month, full week, or 3-night weekend
SAVE ON LONGER STAYS
- Flat $3,500 for 30+ nights, no cleaning fee on monthly stays
- Tax-exempt for 30+ day stays with a written lease (saves ~7% MN lodging tax)
PINE CITY, MN
- 60 minutes north of the Twin Cities on I-35
- 60 minutes south of Duluth
- 18 miles south of Grand Casino Hinckley
- Walking distance to restaurants, Three Twenty Brewing, and the downtown park
Easy self check-in with a keypad code, unique to every stay. Want a meet-and-greet or an in-person walkthrough? Just ask. We live 20 minutes away and are happy to come by.
