About this house rental
Down a gravel drive, surrounded by trees, with no neighbors in sight and water views from the deck. This home was renovated top to bottom and furnished new throughout. Three bedrooms and three full baths. The upper level runs from a fireplace living room through the kitchen to a vaulted, skylit dining room. Downstairs: a pool table. Outside: a big deck with water views, a screened porch, and a fire pit. 15 minutes to the Bay Bridge and the local wedding venues.
The Space:
BEDROOMS
Three bedrooms across two levels, all with new furniture. The primary is on the upper level with a king bed, ceiling fan, and French doors opening onto the deck. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a wide window into the treeline. The third is on the lower level with a queen — quiet and set apart from the main living areas. The lower-level sectional adds sleeping space for a couple more. Sleeps 8. Fresh linens provided.
BATHROOMS
Three full bathrooms — two on the upper level, one on the lower. One has a tub/shower with a marble-top vanity and matte black fixtures; another has a tub/shower combination; the lower level has its own with a glass shower stall, which makes the downstairs work as its own suite. Stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, and a hair dryer.
KITCHEN
Renovated with white cabinetry, granite counters, and a tile backsplash. Full-size refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. The peninsula seats four on stools. Pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and cutting boards for cooking real meals.
LIVING AREAS
The upper level runs open from end to end. The living room has a fireplace with a mantel, a deep sectional, two leather swivel chairs, and ceiling fans. It flows into the kitchen and then into the dining room — vaulted, skylit, windows on three sides, a table for 8 under a wrought-iron chandelier. Downstairs is a second living space built for a group: a full-size pool table, another sectional, a wall-mounted Smart TV, and a table for cards, with a slider out to the screened porch. Two floors means whoever's playing pool at 10pm isn't in the same room as whoever's reading.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The deck wraps the back of the upper level with a dining table for six and a separate lounge seating group. You're up in the tree canopy here, looking out over the lawn with the water beyond — it's the best seat in the house on a summer evening and the reason most people book this place. Below it, a screened porch with wicker seating stays cool and bug-free, with the same view and no bugs. A covered patio holds the gas grill. Out front, a wraparound covered porch. And out on the lawn, a fire pit ringed with chairs for after dark.
PARKING Free parking for several cars on a gravel drive, plus a covered carport.
LOCATION
You're at the quiet south end of the peninsula, well off the Route 50 corridor, on a wooded lot at the end of a gravel drive. No through traffic, no neighbors in view, and dark enough at night to actually see stars. That's the point of this house — you drive to things, and in exchange you get quiet.
Attending a wedding? The Stevensville and Kent Island venues are about 15 minutes away, as is the Bay Bridge. With three bedrooms, three full baths, and room for 8, this works well as the house the wedding party or the family takes for the weekend — everyone gets ready without waiting on a bathroom, and you come back somewhere quiet at the end of the night instead of a hotel corridor.
When you do want to go out: Romancoke Pier is 3 miles for public fishing and crabbing. Channel Side at Kentmorr Marina is 5 miles for crabs and a beach bar on the water. Stevensville proper, the Cross Island Trail, and Rams Head Shore House are about 9 miles. The Kent Narrows crab houses — Harris Crab House, Fisherman's Crab Deck — are 10 miles. Food Lion is 9 miles. Downtown Annapolis is about 20 miles over the Bay Bridge.
