Hosted by Coastal Stay, welcome to Camp Haven Heron House, a spacious three-story lakefront retreat on beautiful Little Glen Lake in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Perfect for families and multi-generational groups, the home features two fully equipped kitchens, multiple gathering spaces, and plenty of room to relax together.

Enjoy shared access to 100 feet of sandy waterfront, complimentary kayaks and a paddleboat, and easy access to the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail just across the road. You`ll also be just minutes from Glen Arbor, Empire, hiking trails, beaches, wineries, restaurants, and local shops.

Please Note: Quiet hours begin at 10pm, and no unauthorized parties are allowed to ensure a peaceful neighborhood setting.

☆☆ LIVING SPACES ☆☆
Designed with gathering in mind, the home offers multiple comfortable living areas across all three floors, giving everyone space to relax together or unwind on their own.

The second floor features the main living room adjacent to the primary kitchen and dining area, while the first floor includes a cozy sitting area for guests staying on that level.

The spacious third-floor family room offers multiple couches, books, board games, toys, and a couple of foam mattresses that many families use as additional sleeping space for children. It`s the perfect spot for movie nights, games, or simply relaxing after a day on the lake.

Heron House features two fully equipped kitchens, making it easy for larger families, multiple generations, or groups to prepare meals together.

The spacious main kitchen is located on the second floor alongside the primary living and dining area, while a second full kitchen on the first floor offers added convenience for guests staying on that level.

Both kitchens are stocked with the essentials needed to prepare everything from quick breakfasts to family dinners after a day exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes or enjoying the lake.

The home features five private bedrooms thoughtfully arranged across the first and second floors. And 3 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom, providing plenty of convenience for larger groups.

🛏️ Bedroom 1: King Bed with a private en-suite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. This is the home`s most accessible bedroom and is ideal for guests with limited mobility.

Bedrooms 2 and 3 are cozy in size and share a nearby full bathroom. This level also includes its own sitting area and the home`s second full kitchen, making it especially comfortable for extended families or guests wanting additional privacy.

A full bathroom is located adjacent to Bedroom 4, while a convenient half bathroom is located near Bedroom 5.

Each bathroom is stocked with fresh towels and essential starter toiletries for your arrival.

The home includes parking for up to 2 vehicles in a large shared gravel parking area behind the house. Please park thoughtfully to ensure there is ample space for guests staying in the neighboring Camp Haven homes.

☆☆ OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE ☆☆
Little Glen Lake is just steps away. Guests enjoy shared access to the sandy waterfront, swimming area, kayaks, paddleboat, and plenty of space to relax by the water.

The home`s outdoor spaces are designed for enjoying Northern Michigan, featuring a covered terrace, private patio, two lake-facing balconies with comfortable seating, an outdoor dining area, a grill, and an outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off after a swim or a day at the beach.

Please note the waterfront, beach, lawn, and watercraft are shared with guests staying in the neighboring Camp Haven cottages.

Little Glen Lake can occasionally experience swimmer`s itch during portions of the summer. We recommend applying waterproof sunscreen before swimming and showering with soap afterward as a precaution.

Together, the three homes offer 12 bedrooms with shared access to 100 feet of beautiful Little Glen Lake frontage, a sandy beach, complimentary kayaks and a paddleboat, and spacious shared outdoor amenities—making Camp Haven an ideal destination for family reunions, retreats, and group getaways.

Coming Spring 2027: An additional waterfront cabin of 2 bedrooms is being renovated and will join Camp Haven, expanding the retreat to four homes with a total of 14 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, and 3 half bathrooms.

☆☆Accidents Happen — We’ve Got You Covered☆☆
We understand that sometimes small accidents happen while traveling. That’s why your booking includes a $250 accidental damage waiver, built directly into your stay.

If something minor gets damaged during your visit, please let us know right away. We’ll take care of it so you can relax and enjoy your trip.

Please note: The waiver applies to accidental damage only and does not cover intentional damage, missing items, rule violations, or excessive mess.

- Check-in/out: Early check-ins and late check-outs are available by request, subject to availability, and may incur an additional fee.

- Longer stays: Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as the fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.

- Payment & Cancellations: Please check the cancellation policy on your booking platform. Please note that even if you are eligible for a full refund and a free cancellation, a credit card processing fee will be deducted. Full payment is taken upon booking.

*Please note that violation of any of these rules is considered a breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The owner reserves the right to evict any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules. The violation of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit or other penalties.

Child Safety: Parents must not leave children unsupervised and are fully responsible for their safety at all times.

Safety & Energy Saving: Please close the windows and lock the door when leaving the premises.

Report any damages and/or breakages immediately.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Smoking or burning candles are not allowed inside the home. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.

Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Please turn off any electronics when you leave the house.

Visitors & Noise: No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 12 people. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Third parties are not welcome, and the place is for guests only. Quiet time after 10 p.m. Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.

Pets: This property currently does not allow pets

SHARED WATERCRAFT. There are a couple of watercraft on the property—kayaks and a paddleboat. You are welcome to use them, but please note they are shared with the other cottages at Camp Haven. Please clean up after yourself and put them away if you are using them. If you damage the watercraft, you will be asked to contribute to the replacement cost. Please also note you accept all risk and will not hold us liable for your use of the watercraft or other toys on the property.

Housekeeping: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes.

We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.
