Despite its secluded feel, you're only two miles from downtown Darby, three miles from Bitterroot River access, and eight miles from Lake Como, a favorite destination for hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Surrounded by abundant National Forest access, the cabin is an ideal basecamp for outdoor adventure. In the winter, Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski Resort and Chief Joseph Pass cross country ski trails are just 32 miles south on the Montana-Idaho border.

Your getaway begins as you travel down a private dirt driveway shared by only two other homes across 34 acres. As the valley opens before you, you'll arrive at the cabin's secluded two-acre setting, where peaceful surroundings and expansive mountain views create a true sense of escape.

Inside, the open-concept main floor feels bright and welcoming, with large windows that fill the space with natural light and frame the surrounding scenery. Just inside the front door, the living area invites you to relax beside the charming wood stove after a day of exploring. A comfortable leather sofa provides the perfect spot to read, unwind, nap, or simply take in the view.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and the essentials needed to prepare meals during your stay. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining area where you can gather for meals, morning coffee, or an evening game. The full bathroom includes a washing machine and drying rack for your convenience, and an outdoor clothesline is also available.

Upstairs, the loft serves as the bedroom and features a queen size bed and a spacious walk-in closet. Inside the closet, you'll find two twin mattresses that can be used as additional sleeping options when needed.

While the wood stove adds rustic cabin charm, the home also features thermostat-controlled central heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort. A few things to note before booking:

The main floor measures approximately 20' × 24', and the loft adds an additional 12’ x 20’ of space. Some photos are taken with a wide-angle lens to better capture the rooms and views, which may make the interior appear larger than it is.

During winter months, four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive may be necessary, as the private road can become icy.

Wi-Fi is not available. Cell phone voice and data service are generally fast and reliable, so you can bring your own hotspot.

As is common in log cabins and rural settings, occasional insects may find their way indoors. Fly swatters are provided.
