Absolutely. I’d keep it very positive because it sounds like you genuinely loved the property, while being clear that the check-in and room mix-up were frustrating but handled well. I really enjoyed my stay at Ebb Tide Motel and am genuinely impressed with what they’ve done with the property. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, the grounds are gorgeous and extremely well maintained, and the renovation has brought something really beautiful back to Ocean Beach. The location also can’t be beat. The rooms have a beautiful minimalist design that feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully done. And I have to mention the toilets — heated seats, bidet, massage features… honestly, they may be the highlight of the room. 😂 I did have a couple of issues with my stay. At the time I booked, the website listed check-in at 2 PM. I reached out to confirm and was initially told 4 PM, then was told 2 PM would be fine. I planned my drive around arriving at 2, only to discover that the door codes don’t activate until 4 PM, so I ended up waiting around. I also booked a King Suite but was given a Queen room. That said, the staff handled the situation exceptionally well. They were very apologetic and refunded one night, which I really appreciated. Mistakes happen, and how a property responds to them says a lot. Overall, this is a gorgeous property in one of the best locations in OB. As someone who loves Ocean Beach, I’m really happy to see Ebb Tide renovated and looking this good.
