This newly renovated 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath home occupies the lower level of a charming duplex in Mission Hills, one of San Diego's most sought-after neighborhoods. Accessed through a private gate on the left side of the home, you'll find your own peaceful retreat with a private deck, hot tub, and grill. Inside, every detail has been thought through: memory foam mattresses, luxury linens, a 60" smart TV with all your favorite streaming services, and an electric fireplace you can dial to exactly the right ambiance. High-quality acoustically rated windows and doors keep things peaceful inside.

Sink into the warm Jacuzzi as harbor views stretch out before you, watch planes glide in over the water, or simply unwind with a glass of wine while the city hums in the distance. These areas are shared with the upstairs unit and availability isn't guaranteed, but most guests find them easy to enjoy throughout their stay.

Mission Hills puts you within a 10-minute walk of Little Italy and Banker's Hill, both packed with excellent dining, coffee, and bars. Balboa Park, the Zoo, Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park, the beaches, Coronado Island, and the airport are all 5 to 15 minutes by car. It's a genuinely central location without the noise or chaos of staying downtown.

Entry is through the private gate on the left side of the home. You'll receive your smart lock code via the guest portal prior to arrival. Please note there are security cameras on the front exterior of the property.

This home is the lower level of a charming duplex, so you may occasionally hear some movement from the unit above. Sound machines in every room take care of the rest, and most guests tell us it's a non-issue within a day. That central location does mean you may occasionally hear planes between 6:30am and 10pm. The acoustically rated windows help considerably and most guests say it fades into the background within a day. The home sits on a hill in an active urban neighborhood. Street parking is usually available nearby, though on busy weekends it can require a short walk.

No smoking, no pets, no parties or bachelor/bachelorette events. All guests must be 25 or older unless a parent is present. Max 4 guests. Check-in after 4pm, checkout by 10am.

Reservations canceled at least 14 days before start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Reservations canceled at least 7 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.

I had a great time staying with rental with a view, everything was labeled so precisely that it made finding some objects really helpful. The house guide and instructions were also very thorough. This location I stayed at was right next to the 5 freeway which made access to several parts of San Diego very convenient. I really appreciated that Daniel was able to grant us an extra hour of checkout to give us some more time to finish packing! The rental with a view team was very quick with their responses and very professional, i recommend staying here and i am looking forward to booking their other locations as well!

The stay was wonderful, location was great, view was nice. Backyard was wonderful, had so much fun playing all of the games. Inside was a little small in the bedrooms but living room was spacious. But surprisingly….the best part was the bidet! We all were shocked with how nice it was as to have, will definitely be getting one of those going home!

Staff was very welcoming & responded quickly. The place was beautiful & we loved the extra touches (coffee, snacks, sunscreen lip balm, etc). It wasn't close enough to walk to Little Italy, due to the hills (& we are all over 60), but everything was close enough by car. The only issue we had was the first person who showered (daily) had no hot water. By the time we figured this out (2 days later), one of us had to take an ice-cold shower each day. You basically have to let the hot water run for approx 30+ min & that is a lot of wasted water. Other than that, we had an amazing time & would rent from them again.

Perfect amount of space for 3 people, no issues in the house, everything worked fine. You can hear everything that happens upstairs but that's kind of expected when staying on the bottom level of anything. Hosts were very helpful, let us check in early which was convenient for us! Close to airport and downtown which was nice. Overall great stay!
