About this cabin rental
The space
Keep it wild & cozy at our vintage (circa 1965) cabin near Stinson Lake.
Upon arrival, you'll enter through the screened porch. Inside the cabin, you'll find an open concept living/kitchen/dining that's centered around a wood burning stove (do not bring wood). There's also a large smart TV to watch NetFlix or stream your favorite shows. Note: The ceilings are 7' high, which is not ideal for tall guests!
The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric stove/oven, full-size fridge, and cooking essentials. The large bedroom has a new queen bed, TV and closet. The small bedroom has bunk beds. The bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower.
Inside:
☑ kitchen w/full-size fridge & stove
☑ 42" smart TV in living room
☑ queen bed in main bedroom
☑ twin bunks in small bedroom
☑ 1 bath with shower, sink, flushing toilet
Other amenities:
☑ cable internet, wi-fi, cell-phone booster
☑ wood stove (no summer use)
☑ portable A/C, electric heat
☑ bed linens; 1 bath towel per guest
☑ small stackable washer/dryer
☑ coffee (keurig) and cooking essentials
☑ drinking water (well-water is also potable!)
Outside:
☑ private deck with gas grill
☑ outdoor wood stove (do not bring wood)
☑ outdoor seating
☑ trail to brook (~300ft from the cabin)
The back deck overlooks the woods and a trail leading to beautiful Stinson Brook. A seasonal swimming hole is available, but conditions vary with rainfall and weather. After heavy rain, expect fast-moving water; during late-summer dry spells, the brook is typically shallow. Rocks can be slippery. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. We recommend water shoes if you plan to enter the brook.
The cabin is not childproof and is not suitable for infants or toddlers. Potential hazards include elevated open decking, steep and slippery terrain, and a blind driveway.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE BOOKING
Out of respect to our surrounding neighbors, we pay close attention to noise levels and the number of guests/vehicles. Exterior cameras are present on the property to monitor security & noise levels.
There's enough parking for 2 cars (max!). Stinson Lake is in walking distance, less than a mile to the public boat ramp. Snowmobile and hiking trail access is about 1 mile from the cabin. You'll have full access to the cabin except for the shed and crawl space.
Most importantly, we do have year-round neighbors on both sides who enjoy peace, quiet and privacy. Please respect their space and property. Please make sure guests DO NOT WANDER BEYOND THE MARKED PROPERTY LINES including the brook area.
Due to well and septic limitations, the maximum occupancy is 3 guests.
Only registered guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the property at any time (day or night). No additional GUESTS, VISITORS or VEHICLES are allowed for any reason. Exterior security cameras are in use.
Please book using the exact number of guests. If your reservation is for 2 guests, we expect only 2 people on the property. Unauthorized guests or visitors will incur a $50 per person, per day fee.
The cabin is served by a private well and septic system.
☑ Well water is tested and safe to drink but has a high iron content. You may prefer to bring bottled drinking water. Water pressure may vary.
☑ Flush only human waste and toilet paper. ("You flush it, you fish it!")
☑ Please limit laundry to one load per day.
☑ The booking guest is responsible for ensuring everyone in the party follows these guidelines.
Wood Stoves & Fires
Please DO NOT BRING, BUY or COLLECT firewood. Do not cut or bring in wood or plants from outside.
Indoor wood stove
☑ Available during fall, winter, and spring only (no summer use).
☑ Burn only the firewood we provide.
☑ Do not burn outdoor campfire wood indoors.
☑ One bundle is included; additional bundles are available for purchase.
☑ Never leave the stove unattended, and avoid oversized fires.
Outdoor chiminea
☑ May be used year-round.
☑ Burn only the outdoor firewood provided.
Cell Service
A cell signal booster provides approximately 3–4 bars inside the cabin. Outside, service is weak.
Children
Families are welcome, but the cabin is not childproof. Children must be supervised at all times. The cabin is not suitable for infants or toddlers due to hazards including elevated open decking, steep terrain, slippery rocks, and the nearby brook.
Pets: Sorry, no pets.
In the Woods
You're staying in a rustic cabin on a wooded one-acre property. Wildlife and insects are part of the experience—we've seen black bears, moose, foxes, and bobcats. Please do not leave food outdoors.
Blind Driveway
The cabin is located on a rural road where traffic often travels quickly. Please use extra caution when exiting the driveway. We recommend rolling down your windows to listen for approaching vehicles.
Removal from Property
Exterior security cameras and noise monitoring devices are in use. You may be asked to leave without a refund for any of the following:
☑ Unauthorized guests, visitors, or pets
☑ Fireworks or other noisemakers
☑ Leaving a fire or wood stove unattended
☑ Tampering with locked areas or security cameras
☑ Trespassing beyond the property boundaries
☑ Excessive noise or loud music
