Welcome to our cozy cottage in the heart of charming Frankfort, MI! With bars, restaurants, the harbor, and the beach just a short walk away, everything is within easy reach. Perfect for families, there are two playgrounds and a pickleball court nearby. Park your car for the week—shops, activities, and the beach are all close by. Enjoy two sunny terraces and a fresh, modern interior. Ideal for relaxing, exploring, and making lasting memories. We look forward to welcoming you!
The space
Sun Cottage is part of a former small women’s hospital and is spread over two floors. Also on the property is Moon Cottage, a smaller home rented separately on Vrbo. Both cottages are completely independent and do not share any facilities.
The cottage sits on Forest Avenue, a quiet street lined with tall, beautiful trees. Even though it’s right in the heart of the village, the area feels peaceful and calm.
Inside, the house is light and airy, decorated in soft tones and natural materials. The original wooden floors from the building’s early days have been carefully restored, adding warmth and character to every room. The walls feature a mix of artsy posters, giving the space a creative and relaxed atmosphere.
From Sun Cottage, you’re just a short walk from the beach, two large playgrounds, and a great selection of shops and restaurants. Everything is close by, yet the moment you step inside, you’ll feel like you’ve entered your own private retreat.

“You’ll have the entire Sun Cottage all to yourselves! Enjoy both floors, the cozy front porch, and the spacious back deck with a barbecue and comfortable seating — perfect for relaxing. It’s a great spot for a family or a group of friends (up to four people). Located right in the heart of the village, you’ll be surrounded by great restaurants and shops, and the beach is just a short walk away!”

The Moon Cottage is all yours. We kindly ask that you respect the neighbors and nature—please avoid loud noise and extra visitors. This is a peaceful getaway, so if you’re looking to host a party, this won’t be the right place.
For the comfort of all guests, we unfortunately cannot allow dogs.
