About this house rental

Welcome to the Adventure A-Frame! Peaceful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed cabin backing up to miles of Tahoe National Forest trails, with private sauna & hot tub. Great home base whether you plan to hike, ski, or just slow down and relax.

Downstairs bonus room has a separate entrance and is home to the Adventure Hub: backpacks, hiking gear, and extra queen bed.

Lake, beach, restaurants & groceries a few minutes down the road. Palisades & Northstar ~20 min. Pets welcome with additional fee.

The space
The house sits on a quiet street in Carnelian Bay on about a third of an acre, backing up directly to Tahoe National Forest. Step off the back deck and you're on the trails. The deck itself looks out over the trees and a seasonal creek — good for morning coffee, better after a sauna session.

Use the barrel sauna to recover after a long hike, or cool off after a bike ride. The hot tub and fireplace round things out for when you want to wind down without going anywhere.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a proper meal after a day out.

Out front, a patio with a table and BBQ grill for evening cookouts.

Main level
One bedroom with a double bed and its own full bathroom.

Upstairs
The primary bedroom has a king bed and a private balcony overlooking the pines. The second upstairs bedroom doubles as a yoga space — equipped with yoga essentials and a pullout bed that can sleep 2. Both rooms share a full bathroom with shower.

Basement level — Adventure Hub
Accessible through a separate entrance, the Adventure Hub has hiking gear, backpacks, boot and glove dryers, a queen bed, and its own full bathroom. Great space for a group that wants a bit of independence, or for getting organized before an early morning out.

Everything else you need is close by — restaurants, groceries, and the lake are all just a few minutes away.

Pets are very welcome — a pet fee applies.

Guest access
Guests will have the entire place to themselves, accessible via digital lock.

Our family met up to celebrate Thanksgiving at this cozy property. It is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The neighborhood contains walking trails that can be accessed from behind the yard or down the street. There were a few concerns with our visit. Many of the serving/cooking utensils were dirty and had to be washed before using. The beds were very comfortable but found at the end of our stay (when we took the sheets off the beds) that the mattress pad in the downstairs bedroom was covered in various lengths of dark hair. The sheets were not removed from the beds until just prior to leaving- the hair was there before our arrival. The fabric of the mattress cover seemed the type to attract things to stick to it and should have been something easily noticed by the housekeeper. Somewhat disconcerting especially given the fees paid for cleaning.

We stayed at Amelia's place for a long weekend, looking to score on some snow after the storms in early Feb. It's a great little place for exactly that -- cozy, has all the things you need. It's a quiet little neighborhood with access to a trail right behind the house. The back deck looks out into the woods, so sitting in the hot tub feels very peaceful and almost like you're alone in the trees. Our pup loves tromping around in the snow, which the backyard and trails are great for. We'll definitely be back!

Fun and clean place to stay at.

The property does not accommodate 8-10 people, maybe 5-6 max. BBQ was filthy and took 30 minutes to clean so we could use it. Kitchen supplies were minimal and required turning on the dishwasher after every meal in order to have enough silverware and serving bowls. Third bathroom required going down a ladder or outside to access it which was not possible for some guests. Not somewhere I would stay in the summer. There is no AC and it was 85-90 degrees at bedtime causing sleepless nights. There are only beds for 6 people so one of our guest had to sleep on a couch. Shower curtains fell down frequently. The DVD player did not work. Inside the houses was clean. Games room was well stocked with games and books. Coffee maker was a big hit. Neighborhood was perfect and close to beaches and hiking trails. Lots of parking on the property. Nice hot tub.
