About this house rental

The cabin is located five meters from the water’s edge and is surrounded by rocky shores where you can fish. It was built in the 1950s and has just been restored, but because the Beach Act did not allow for demolition, parts of the old cabin have been preserved, giving the place its special charm.

Inside, there’s a fireplace, and when the weather turns, it’s a great place to sit and watch the waves crash against the windows. Parts of the original structure are still visible in the newly renovated interior, serving as a reminder that the cabin has hosted many summers.

The pergola facing the water is perfect for evenings with a calm lake, sunsets, and the sound of fish leaping. The shoreline just outside is teeming with crabs and serves as a natural playground for children. Here, you can also grill sausages over a campfire while the kids search for crabs among the rocks. At the dock area near the cabin, you can buy blue mussels.

Reins Monastery and Reinsskogen Forest are a 10–15-minute walk away, and at Kystens Arv in Stadsbygda, there’s a museum and café about a 10-minute drive away. An hour’s drive away, you’ll find a fairy-tale trail at Fevåg and the harbor town of Råkvåg, with breweries, art studios, a museum, and restaurants. In Vallersund, fresh crab, crayfish, and shellfish are sold in July and August.
