About this apartment rental
Combining contemporary comfort with uninterrupted harbour views, this apartment offers a welcoming base to experience Balmain's village charm and Sydney's iconic waterways.
The open-plan living and dining area is bathed in natural light, with the balcony extending the space towards sweeping views of Parramatta River and Cockatoo Island. Begin the day with coffee outdoors, stream your favourite show from the comfort of the sofa after exploring, or linger over a meal as ferries and sailboats glide across the water. Thoughtfully equipped with an oven, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, and cooking essentials, the kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals. If you'd rather dine out, Balmain's vibrant cafés, restaurants, and pubs are only a short walk away.
The bedroom continues the apartment's calm, minimalist aesthetic with a queen bed, quality linen, generous wardrobe storage, and a dedicated workspace. A ceiling fan, along with a portable heater and fan, ensures year-round comfort. The bathroom features both a bathtub and separate shower, while a private washing machine, drying rack, and thoughtful storage make longer stays especially convenient.
Follow the waterfront path to the shared gardens, where expansive lawns meet the harbour, creating a peaceful place to unwind, watch boats drift across Parramatta River, and soak up one of Balmain's most memorable outlooks. During New Year's Eve, the foreshore offers a memorable vantage point to watch the nearby fireworks barges illuminate the harbour.
Complimentary Wi-Fi and free undercover carport parking are available.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire apartment to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!
Tucked into the leafy streets of Balmain, this home puts you within an easy walk of one of Sydney's most charming harbourside villages. Head down to Darling Street, the suburb's main strip, for a relaxed stroll past cafes, bakeries and boutique shops, or settle in at one of the historic pubs for a cold drink and pub meal. Foodies will love the mix of Italian, Vietnamese and Turkish restaurants along the street, and there's a great acai spot and patisserie for something sweet.
On Saturdays, wander down to the Balmain Markets on the corner of Darling and Curtis Road for pre-loved fashion, antiques, books and local produce, all set in the grounds of a heritage church. The area is also dotted with historic sandstone cottages and Victorian terraces, giving every walk around the neighbourhood a real sense of character. Birchgrove Wharf is about a 19-minute walk away, with ferries into the city and lovely views across the harbour along the way.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
