Public transportation is conveniently available nearby, with bus stops throughout Waikiki providing easy access to destinations across Oahu. Rideshare services and taxis are also readily available. A car is not required for enjoying the best of Waikiki, but if you plan to explore the rest of Oahu we recommend renting a car.
