About this house rental
Set high on Mt Toolebewong amongst 130 acres of native forest, towering Mountain Ash, ferns and native meadows, Toolebewong House offers a quieter kind of escape.
Wake to the sound of lyrebirds and wrens calling through the forest, wander private walking tracks across the property, keep an eye out for wombats and the abundant wildlife that call the mountain home, then return to the warmth of the fireplace and sweeping valley views.
Designed for families, friends and small groups, the house comfortably accommodates up to nine guests across four welcoming bedrooms. A spacious communal kitchen, generous dining room seating up to twelve, comfortable lounge with wood fireplace, separate study area and peaceful outlooks make it an ideal place to reconnect, celebrate or simply slow down.
Every bed is fitted with electric blankets, with quality linen, pillows and towels provided throughout your stay. The property is fully dog-friendly, so well-behaved four-legged family members are welcome too.
Guests are free to explore the property’s open lawns, seating areas and private walking tracks, with walking maps and local recommendations included in the house booklet waiting for you on arrival. If you’re fortunate, you may even catch a glimpse of Bob, one of the resident wombats, emerging from his burrow beside the house.
Although Toolebewong feels wonderfully secluded, you’re only a short drive from Healesville, the Yarra Valley’s renowned wineries, cafés, walking trails and attractions, giving you the best of both mountain tranquillity and local experiences.
Whether you’re planning a winter getaway beside the fire, a family holiday immersed in nature, or simply somewhere to pause and breathe, Toolebewong House invites you to experience the mountain at its own gentle pace. 🌿🔥🐾
