About this house rental
Tranquillity and escapism in equal measure. Esox Cottage is set on the idyllic southern shoreline of the magnificent Loch Awe, a Scottish jewel in Argyll and Bute.
The property, set in Ardbrecknish, features premium entertainment facilities including a wood fired hot tub, games room with pool table, table tennis under a covered area. A large TV in the lounge with a PS5 available for gamers in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
Each aspect of the property has been designed sympathetically, in keeping with the environment, and to the very highest of specifications. A full-length balcony and covered seating area creates the perfect setting for entertaining with access for all.
Heated flag stone flooring to the ground floor creates a hard-wearing place for entertaining and perhaps little feet and paws. In tune with the property the stairs and first floor are finished in elegant wood with a cosy ambience.
The area is a playground for anybody wanting to explore, with fantastic cycling both road and trail, hiking or more leisurely walks. Fishing is a popular past time in this area with appropriate permits and there are many accessible areas to enjoy the loch for a beautiful water’s edge setting.
Downstairs you will find the large living room, modern kitchen with dining area and a double bedroom, with en-suite. The spacious living room features two reclining massage chairs, large sofa and leather chair set in front of the cosy log burner!
Upstairs, there are 2 further bedrooms-
Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, dressing room, tv and a glorious balcony area with seating overlooking the highlands, loch and mountains
Boatyard bedroom with ensuite shower room, Super King bed that can be split into two singles, double sofa bed, tv and PS5.
Each bedroom has ample storage, making for a comfortable longer stay as well as being suitable for shorter breaks.
There is Wi-Fi throughout the property along with a large Freeview TV in the living room.
The outside makes the perfect space for relaxing during the long summer evenings or storing kayaks/SUPs/bikes. The garden/patio can be accessed via the lounge, in addition to the back door and patio doors from the kitchen.
The cottage is suitable for those with limited mobility – there is a ramp at the front door, and all facilities (including bedroom with en-suite shower) are available on the ground floor level.
There are a few steps from the back door to the garden and patio, however these areas can be accessed via the side of the house and the level access front door.
The property is suitable for well-behaved pets, but we would ask they remain on the ground floor.
