The flat was correct, clean, and in good order, and made an excellent base for our short visit to Wuppertal. The owner quickly responded to our one question. The flat is quiet, yet well positioned. There's a selection of shops nearby, including supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and cafés for my morning espresso. A little further away is the Old Market pedestrianised shopping centre. When we were there, the view of the river was unfortunately blocked by the city's road infrastructure renewal, but that didn't matter: we came for the monorail, and there's a good view.

The main problem was parking: all the parking close to the flat is time constrained. Since we were there only for the weekend, we cheated and moved the car a couple of times, saying hello to a very helpful local meter maid in the process. Those staying for a long period are advised to come by public transport. ICE trains stop in Wuppertal, and you can use the monorail from the central station to Wupperfeld station, near the flat. If you do come by car, I suggest you research long term parking first.
