Googles Beach Hotel Zanzibar

Amazing

10/10

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating including the driver Abdul. Mohammed the receptionist was exceptionally helpful, making my stay there comfortable. The location was good. Not too far from Stone Town. I love the fact that it's an eco-boutique hotel so one gets to have a good night rest away from all distractions.

The breakfast needs more variety. And the rooms needs full mirrors (for the ladies 😊)

I booked this property for a week because it was advertised as beachfront. I also enjoy supporting new hotels. When I arrived, I found that although the property is beside the water, the beach is used for fishing and had a lot of trash. It was not a place where I felt comfortable swimming or spending the beach days I had planned. For that reason, I stayed only one night. The property itself is beautiful, breakfast was okay, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I appreciated their hospitality. My disappointment was with the beachfront description: I chose this hotel specifically to enjoy the beach, and the beach beside it was not suitable for that purpose.

The beach was very dirty and it’s a beach exclusively used for fisherman
