This charming property is more than a place to sleep- it's a magical experience. With its historic character, eclectic details, and lovingly preserved quirks, the cottage feels a bit like staying inside a small private museum. Every room has a story, and the home is filled with the personality and charm that make this neighborhood so special. The cottage is ideally located for exploring some of Louisville's best food, bourbon, art, shopping, sports, and entertainment. You'll be close enough to walk to many neighborhood favorites while still having a cozy retreat to return to at the end of the day.

ABSOLUTELY NO PETS OF ANY KIND
No pets or animals of any kind are permitted anywhere on the property, due to the severe pet allergies of the primary homeowner. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you do not book this property if you are traveling with an animal. There are many pet-friendly alternatives in the area, and this policy is in place to protect the health and safety of the homeowner.
**NO SMOKING OR VAPING OF ANY KIND ON THE PROPERTY**
For the comfort, safety, and health of all guests and to protect the historic character and furnishings of the home, smoking or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. This includes all areas on the property outdoors.
SAFETY & SECURITY
For the safety, security, and peace of mind of everyone staying at The Long Hall, exterior security cameras are in place at all entrances to the property. These cameras monitor entry and exit areas only and are never located inside the home.
*UNCONVENTIONAL KITCHEN
We intentionally designed the space to make it easy to enjoy coffee and breakfast at home while encouraging guests to experience the incredible restaurants, bars, bakeries, and cafés that surround the Long Hall. The home has a full-size kitchen space, but it does not have a traditional cooktop or oven. Instead, the kitchen is designed as a well-equipped kitchenette with:
Full-size refrigerator
Microwave, toaster oven, griddle, toaster, 2 burner cooktop
Portable cooking exhaust fan
Coffee-making setup
Kitchen essentials for light food preparation and reheating
The Long Hall cottage puts you right in the middle of one of Louisville's most exciting food and entertainment districts while giving you a quiet, historic, whimsical place to come home to.
With so many wonderful bars, coffee shops, and restaurants within walking distance, we hope you'll let Louisville's chefs do the cooking! The Long Hall is a perfect place for re-heating and enjoying those leftovers later when you're in your comfy clothes and feeling snacky.
Off-street rear parking pad for up to 2 cars- Larger SUVS or trucks with long beds would be better suited for street parking.
*SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The cottage comfortably accommodates guests with:

1 full-size pull-out queen sofa bed
The layout is particularly well suited for adult couples or friends traveling together and guests visiting Louisville for food, bourbon, festivals, sporting events, and cultural experiences.

All projects are completed between guest stays, so we hope you'll be back to see our preservation efforts as the property continues to evolve over time.
We think of this cottage as a treasure to be appreciated rather than a perfectly polished, modern hotel. It is OLD, quirky, historic, and delightfully imperfect. For that reason, the Long Hall is not suitable for children under the age of 13.
If you love old houses, historic architecture, unusual details, and places with a genuine sense of personality, you'll likely fall in love with this place. If you are looking for a perfectly polished luxury hotel experience, this may not be the right fit. We embrace the whimsy, here!
