The accommodation is situated on the ground floor of a former school that has been completely renovated into two self-catering holiday cottages (La Grande Récré and La Petite Récré).
La Petite Récré comprises a 30 m² living room, a fully fitted kitchen, two bedrooms and a shower room (with shower).
Wi-Fi (fibre optic) and bed linen and towels are included – we’re just waiting for you!

The accommodation is laid out as follows:

- A 30 m² living area with a TV, a sofa and a dining area, and an open-plan fitted kitchen including: a built-in fridge-freezer, an electric kettle, an oven, a microwave, a toaster, dishwasher, coffee machine (Senseo), hob…
- Bedroom 1: with a queen-size bed (160×200)
- Bedroom 2: with a queen-size bed (160×200) and a pull-out bed (90×200 cm)
- A shower room (with walk-in shower and wall-mounted nappy-changing table)
- A separate toilet
- Laundry area with washing machine and clothes horse

For even greater comfort, the owners provide the following additional equipment: raclette machine, high chair, cot (provided free of charge on request)

Outdoors:
- A shared courtyard with the La Grande Récré holiday cottage, equipped with a plancha and garden furniture

The flat is ideally situated in Plainfaing, at the foot of the Hautes Vosges, in a very pleasant setting. In the centre of Plainfaing, you’ll find all the essential shops, as well as restaurants, bars and a market…

Close to Alsace and just a stone’s throw from Gérardmer, there are plenty of activities to enjoy:
- Christmas markets during the winter season
- Hiking, mountain biking or horse riding through forests, ridges and valleys.
- Three nearby ski areas: Domaines du Lac Blanc, La Bresse and La Schlucht (please check the ski areas’ websites for details)
- Bike park, summer toboggan runs, go-karting
- Confiserie des Hautes Vosges: fun tours with demonstrations and tastings

Transport:
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the house’s private outdoor car park (one space).

As for other modes of transport, here is some information that you may find useful:
- Nearest railway station: Saint-Dié-des-Vosges station, approximately 21 km away
- Nearest airports: Strasbourg Entzheim (106 km away) or Basel Mulhouse (approximately 100 km away)

To ensure your stay is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, this property is managed in partnership by the teams at Cocoonr (listing and booking management service) and a local concierge service (concierge and housekeeping service).

Further notes:
- The owners also offer another holiday cottage – “La Grande Récré” – which can accommodate 10 people. The two cottages can therefore be hired together, subject to availability, for a total capacity of 15 people. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly for further information.
- Bed linen and towels included
- Small pets are allowed, subject to a supplement of €25 per stay, limited to one pet (cat or dog). Please specify this when booking.
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future guests. We would be grateful if you could leave the property in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
- Any request for arrival or departure outside the specified times is subject to the availability of the person in charge of check-in. A flat-rate surcharge may apply.
