Between 1668 and 1675, Georg Christoph von Schönfeld built a stately residence at the fork in the road leading to Bildechingen. The current palace was commissioned by Christian, Baron von Münch, in 1809 to replace the structure that had burned down on July 14, 1807. Since then, the palace has served a wide variety of functions; it underwent its most recent renovation between 2015 and 2020. Today, the palace houses residential apartments.
