The location was excellent and within close proximity to most places I wanted to visit. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast spread was decent. However, the main downside was the severe sewer smell coming from the bathroom. Had the bathroom door tightly shut at all times because the odor was quite unbearable

The only downside of this hotel is the room size — the rooms are really, really small! As someone who is a bit claustrophobic, I found the space quite compact. 😅 That said, everything else was great! The location is excellent, with markets, shops, and pretty much everything you need within walking distance. The staff were super nice, and the overall experience was good. Considering the price we paid, I can’t complain too much. If you don’t mind staying in a small room and prioritise a good location, this is definitely a decent place to stay. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to be mindful of the room sizes. Apart from that, everything was good!
    7.2 / 10Good·Oct 2026
My stay at Hanoi Silk Crown Boutique Hotel & Spa was extremely disappointing. Despite its excellent location, the hotel fell short in hospitality, professionalism, cleanliness, comfort, and guest safety. The room did not have the advertised balcony, only a window. It was noisy, and access required navigating an extremely narrow staircase without an elevator, raising significant accessibility and emergency evacuation concerns. Staff appeared unapproachable, inadequately trained, and lacked consistent professional uniforms, raising additional concerns about staff identification and security. I also personally observed food being handled with bare hands, which made me question the hotel’s hygiene practices. Most disappointing was the manager, Michael, who never once greeted or acknowledged me, despite my observing him warmly greeting white guest. Although I cannot establish his intentions, this unequal experience made me feel unwelcome. He urgently needs comprehensive training in customer service, cultural sensitivity, equal treatment, and hospitality leadership. The hotel’s only significant strength is its location. Even a hotel with modest facilities can earn excellent reviews through genuine hospitality, attentive staff, and responsible management. Unfortunately, this establishment failed to deliver. I strongly urge management and booking platforms to review its room descriptions, staff training, food, handling practices, and safety arrangements. I would never return or recommend this hotel. A convenient location cannot compensate for misleading room expectations, poor hospitality, and questionable safety standards. Guests deserve transparency, respect, and value for their money.
