Appartamento Girasole - Cadore Apartments

Overall, we had a positive experience at the apartment with minor inconveniences, and we would give it an 8/10 but I will leave 10/10 and hope the host will fix the issues. Although we didn't meet the host in person, the key collection instructions arrived via email on the day of departure, complete with helpful photos, which was very smooth and straightforward. Street parking was also easy to find close to the entrance, and the internet connection was excellent. The kitchen is spacious and truly well-equipped, making it great for cooking. The upstairs bedroom is very nice, and the bed was comfortable for our 4-night stay. The bathroom is also very modern and pleasant.

Since the apartment faces the street, there is constant traffic starting from early dawn, which might bother light sleepers. There are no mosquito nets on the windows, so upstairs we could only air out the rooms after dark due to wasps. Regarding the kitchen, we couldn't get the extractor hood to work, and since there is no door between the kitchen and the living room, every cooking smell spreads throughout the entire apartment. Additionally, while there is a dishwasher with provided tablets, it would have been necessary to have a basic dish soap and sponge; given the erratic opening hours of Italian shops, buying these was quite inconvenient. It was also disappointing that there is no microwave, making it impossible to easily reheat anything. The layout has a few awkward points: the design of the living room feels out of place compared to the rest of the apartment, and with just a couch and a wall-mounted TV, we saw little purpose in this downstairs area. The TV would make much more sense in the upstairs bedroom, especially since the only toilet is located upstairs. Finally, the light behind the bathroom mirror is not bright enough for applying makeup. As for the location regarding the Dolomites: parking around the attractions is getting worse year by year. Places where you could easily park a few years ago are now closed off (for instance, parking near the Lago di Sorapis trailhead meant an extra 600 meters of uphill walking, which we really didn't need before an already difficult hike). Access to Tre Cime requires registration days in advance, which we completely missed out on, and visiting Seceda is a nightmare - if you don't arrive before 9 AM, you cannot park a car, forcing us to set off from the accommodation at 5:45 AM.

Toll! Die Wohnung war sehr schön und ziemlich groß für uns beide, alles entsprach den Fotos. Wir waren zunächst etwas skeptisch, da wir gesehen hatten, dass sie erst seit kurzem auf Booking zu finden war, aber wir waren froh, dass wir sie gebucht hatten. Elsa und Renato waren sehr nette Gastgeber und sehr hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder.

Posizione perfetta per vari trekking, sia nella parte veneta che in Alto Adige… appartamento molto pulito e accogliente, anche nei confronti degli amici a quattro zampe (ci hanno fatto trovare delle ciotole e uno snack per la nostra cagnolina). Bella l’idea di offrire una colazione nel bar di paese (gestito dalla stessa azienda che ha il negozietto in piazza e propone prodotti caseari di proprio produzione)

Struttura pulito, esattamente come in foto. Vista del dentro aperto è molto bella, posizione centrale con parcheggio riservato proprio davanti l’entrata. Proprietari gentilissimi, tutto molto accogliente, gentilezza sopra la media
