About this house rental

Summary:

Some homes are about the beach. This one's about the fun around it: the dog off leash in a fully fenced yard, kids claiming the top bunk, everyone around the fire pit long after the sand's rinsed off. Sleeps 8 across 3 bedrooms, bright and freshly done, with a full kitchen and room to spread out. A short drive to the sugar-white sand of 30A, close enough to beach hop, far enough to sleep to crickets. Dogs genuinely welcome, keyless entry, parking for the crew. A 30A getaway without the markup.

The Space:

The home has three bedrooms and two baths, set up to sleep 8. Bedroom 1 has a king bed with its own private bath. Bedroom 2 has a second king. Bedroom 3 has two bunk beds, which makes this an easy fit for families — two couples or sets of parents in real beds, and the kids in the bunk room.

The living space is open and easy: comfortable seating, a full modern kitchen with everything you need to cook for the group, and a dining area that seats everyone together. A second bath keeps a full house moving in the morning.

The backyard is the part people remember — a fire pit, string lights, and Adirondack chairs under the pines. It's the spot for evenings after a day at the beach.

You're about 10 minutes from the 30A beaches, with dining, shops, and state parks all a short drive away. Dogs are welcome (50 lbs and under), so the whole family travels together.

Guest Access:

The whole house and the backyard are yours for your stay — nothing is off-limits.

Check-in is easy and self-serve: the door has a keypad lock, and you'll get your code before arrival, so there's no key to coordinate or meet anyone for. Park in the driveway, with room for more than one car and additional street parking if your group brings several.

The fire-pit yard, the kitchen, all three bedrooms — the full place is set up for you to settle in and make it your own. I'm a message away if anything comes up.

The Neighborhood:

The house sits just north of 30A, which keeps you out of the beach-town crowds and parking but still a short drive from all of it. The closest public access points are around Blue Mountain Beach and Gulf Place, where Scenic 83 and 393 meet 30A and the Gulf. The beaches here are the draw — sugar-white sand and the emerald-green Gulf that 30A is known for. Grayton Beach State Park is close by for some of the most unspoiled dunes and trails on the coast, and the rare coastal dune lakes are great for kayaking with kids. For food and a slower afternoon, Blue Mountain Beach is the laid-back, less-crowded stretch, with local spots like Local Catch, Blue Mabel Smokehouse, and Café Tango, plus Blue Mountain Bakery for a morning pastry on the way to the sand. Gulf Place has more shops, restaurants, and an arts scene if the group wants something busier. It's a setup that works whether you're here with kids, traveling with the dog, or pulling a bigger group together — close to everything 30A, with a quiet home base to come back to.

Getting Around:

You'll want a car here — the house is north of 30A, so the beach, restaurants, and shops are all a short drive rather than a walk. The upside is free driveway parking with room for more than one vehicle, which is rare and valuable in this area where beach-town parking is tight and expensive.

Once you're down on 30A, a lot of it is easy to get around on foot or by bike — there's a paved path that runs for miles along the coast between the beach communities, so many guests park once and bike between the beach, lunch, and the shops.

Rideshare works for nights out so nobody has to drive, though it's less instant out here than in a city — worth booking a few minutes ahead, especially in peak season.

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is about a 40-minute drive, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS) is a similar distance, so you've got two airport options coming in.
