About this house rental

The Farmstead Hideaway is a one-of-a-kind tiny home sitting on farmland with a creek running right along the edge of the property. To access the property you’ll pull in through open farm fields.

Outside there’s a private hot tub, a fire pit, and a creek with fishing lines provided. Inside, the king bed has an adjustable frame so you can sit up and watch TV in comfort. The loft has two beds for the kids. Full kitchen with a stove, dedicated desk space, and AC and heat year round.

This is the kind of place that’s hard to describe until you’re actually here. Wide open land. privacy, and very relaxing.

Perfect for couples, families, and anyone who just needs to get away from it all.

Guests can use the area around the home & also the public park that is walking distance from the home through the fields.

Neighborhood

Primarily agricultural and residential with working farms, barns and occasional large lots. Nearby villages (Paradise, Intercourse, Bird-in-Hand) provide tourist shops, restaurants, farmers’ markets and covered-bridge scenic routes. Expect quiet, scenic rural surroundings, limited street lighting, and frequent slow-moving farm vehicles. Seasonal events (auctions, fairs, corn mazes) draw visitors in spring–fall.

Getting around

Car is the most practical option—local roads are two-lane rural routes (Pequea Ln, Leacock Rd, PA-340 and US-30) . Short drives connect to nearby villages (2–10 minutes) and Lancaster city (~20–25 minutes). Public transit is minimal locally; regional bus service serves Lancaster city but not door-to-door. Amtrak Keystone Service passes through Gordonville area (nearest staffed Amtrak station in Lancaster). Taxis and rideshare availability is limited—plan pickups in Lancaster or larger nearby towns. Biking is possible on quiet country roads but expect farm traffic and rolling terrain.

Guests will need to drive through a field to get to the cabin. The cabin is located in the back of a residence so part of the access will be through a private driveway.
