About this cottage rental
In Ōraka the pace is slow but there's always an unexpected delight - maybe the star-gazing (best in Winter), a wildlife encounter or a local culinary treat.
The yurt is comfortable year-round with a log burner inside and a wood-fired bath for two outside.
The yurt has a queen bed and 2 single futons.
A separate kitchen and full bathroom with underfloor heating in Winter ensure you have all the necessities. There is no WiFi or TV.
The property includes a large yurt containing the beds and living spaces. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom building - all connected by a deck. Outside is a wild garden with native forest and a wood-fired bath. There is firewood provided.
You have full and exclusive use of the entire property.
Due to the amenities on site, the yurt is not suitable for children under 6-years of age.
Much like a tent, the yurt gets you close to nature. This means you will hear the wind and rain on stormy nights, but it also means you will hear the sea, the birds and the frogs on still nights. Enjoy.
If there are four people staying, you will have to assemble one of the futon beds (like a sleepover!), and then return it to how you found it on checkout - the mattresses are quite heavy and we can't expect the cleaner to attend to that.
Smoking and vaping outside please.
A pet is allowable but please message me to discuss.
