About this house rental
Discover a brand-new retreat where modern luxury meets the quiet of the Green Mountains. Situated near a serene gravel road, this home offers a rare vantage point over a neighboring farm. Wake up to the gentle rhythm of cows and sheep meandering past your front door, all while framed by panoramic mountain vistas. Whether you are here for world-class skiing, a summer escape, or a fly-fishing expedition on the nearby famous Battenkill, this is your private Vermont sanctuary.
The Great Room & Chef’s Kitchen
At the heart of the home is an open-concept Great Room. The chef’s kitchen features professional-grade stainless appliances and a centerpiece island, handcrafted from cherry timber milled directly from this property. Adjacent to the kitchen, a bar with a dedicated ice maker and wine fridge ensures your cocktail hour is effortless. Gather around the roaring Scandinavian wood-burning stove, or select a classic from the built-in library for a quiet night in.
To welcome you to the neighborhood, each stay begins with a taste of Southern Vermont. Enjoy complimentary fresh eggs from our neighbor’s farm, local chocolates, and fresh-baked bread—the perfect start to a slow morning on the porch.
Sophisticated Accommodations
Designed with privacy in mind for two to three couples or a family:
Dual Primary Suites (Main Level): Two expansive, identical suites with antique four-poster beds, featuring en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers.
A third guest bathroom downstairs features a restored vintage clawfoot tub—perfect for a long soak after a day on the slopes or the river.
The Loft Suite (Upper Level): A flexible third bedroom with its own full bathroom is upstairs. Configured with four twin beds for a "luxury bunkroom" feel, or seamlessly converted into a third King Primary suite upon request. There is also an office upstairs that overlooks the Great Room. This room can be a kids' playroom in the evening.
Outdoor Living
Step outside to the sprawling front porch to watch the morning mist rise off the mountains. As evening falls, retreat to the fire pit. Nestled in Adirondack chairs under the stars, it is the perfect setting for fire-side conversation and Vermont craft beer.
Location: We are uniquely situated on a quiet road, but close to Route 7 for a quick trip up to Bromley and Stratton Mountains, but also close to the New York border. We are also in the perfect Arlington location, near the village and a quick trip up Historic 7A to Manchester and all its shops. In Arlington, we have dining ranging from the Dairy Barn (burgers, etc), pizza, Bronwyn's on the Battenkill to fine dining at the West Mountain Inn. All five minutes away.
