Welcome to the Best L'il Oar House in Old Bend — a charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage nestled in the heart of downtown Bend, just steps from the Deschutes River and a short stroll to Millers Landing. With exposed wood beams, a remodeled kitchen, and a fenced backyard with two complimentary cruiser bikes, this cozy retreat is ideal for couples or small groups who want to walk, pedal, and explore one of Oregon's most beloved towns. Mt. Bachelor is about 25 minutes away when the mountains call.

We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Great location, nicely appointed home. Just a few things: the bathroom door isn't closing properly Feels like someone hung on the door and now the hinges are not aligned, so very hard to close. Also several lights were either out or too low wattage, like the kitchen florescent tubes had one out. Several rooms were just dimly lit. And there must be some kind of hot water limiter in the tub as even at 100% hot the water was never very hot. But all that is minor stuff. We would be happy to return here in the future.

Well appointed, great walkable location, and just a nice cozy place. I would stay here again for sure, but be watchful for "dynamic pricing" changes. We unfortunately had to modify our stay by one day, but it wasn't possible through the VRBO website. Even through direct communications with the host showed it wasn't possible. And so the option was to cancel and immediately rebook with the dates shifted by one day. However the pricing rose by a lot even on the days we had previously booked in a price point, forcing us to reduce the amount of days we wanted to stay unfortunately.

What a great place, tucked away yet close to the river, parks and shopping. The house had all needed items and was very clean and homey. Off-street parking was appreciated. Bend is a great place to visit!

Great host! Arrived on a dreary chilly rainy afternoon. Host had the cottage ready to go and a fire in the fireplace! Perfectly appointed, great spot.
