The Baltic Sea resort of Baabe is located in the eastern part of the island of Rügen at the entrance to the Mönchgut Peninsula
, nestled between Sellin and Göhren, where the island’s most beautiful beaches are likely to be found. The wooded area around Baabe features a well-developed network of biking and hiking trails. Long walks along the beach or the steep cliffs toward Binz offer breathtaking panoramic views of the sea. You can unwind in this idyllic natural setting and find pure tranquility. Located behind the dunes right on the beach is the Haus Meeresblick apartment complex, where our vacation rental is situated on the top (3rd) floor. It’s just a few meters to the expansive, fine-sand beach. The gently sloping water is particularly well-suited for families with children. The apartment complex is quiet yet centrally located. The spa gardens, where events take place in the afternoon and evening, are just a few steps away. A bakery, supermarket, doctor’s office, and train station are all within a short walking distance. The tourist information center, as well as many dining options and restaurants, are nearby. Haus Meeresblick stands out above all for its direct beachfront location and its on-site wellness area with an indoor pool and sauna; children in particular will always find something to do here, and there’s even a children’s playground nearby.
Haus Meeresblick A 3.11 Nautilus with Rooftop Terrace:
This approximately 63-square-meter non-smoking vacation apartment is located on the 3rd floor of the Haus Meeresblick Baabe building and can be easily reached from the underground parking garage via elevator or the staircase. Thanks to its spacious layout with two separate bedrooms, this 3-room vacation apartment is suitable for up to 2 to 4 adults plus 1 infant up to 3 years old in a travel crib. In the entryway of the vacation apartment, you’ll find storage space, a coat rack with a shoe cabinet, and a place to sit. From there, you enter the open-concept living and dining area, which is furnished with a cozy corner sofa, a coffee table, a reading lamp, a lowboard and highboard, as well as a shelf equipped with a flat-screen TV, a Blu-ray player, a DAB radio/CD player, and a small collection of books, board games, and movies—some in 3D. Wi-Fi access rounds out the technical amenities. Adjacent to this is the integrated kitchenette. The corner kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave with a grill function, a sink, a dishwasher, a 4-zone ceramic cooktop, and an exhaust hood. Of course, in addition to a filter coffee maker, a toaster, and a kettle, you’ll also find all the necessary kitchen utensils for preparing meals together, which you can then enjoy at the large dining table. From the living-dining area, you can access the quiet, secluded, and furnished rooftop terrace, which faces north and offers a side view of the sea—though the view is partially obstructed by the pine trees. Here, you can enjoy a shaded view of the greenery after a sun-drenched day at the beach. The vacation rental features 2 separate bedrooms, both accessible from the entryway. The larger bedroom features a double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m), adjustable slatted frames, bedside tables with lighting, a smart TV, a wardrobe, and a clothing rack. Blackout curtains ensure a restful night’s sleep. The smaller bedroom also features a double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m), adjustable slatted frames, bedside tables with lighting, a dresser, a clothes rack, and can also be darkened. From here, you also have access to the rooftop terrace. Across from this bedroom is the en suite bathroom, featuring a sink area with a mirror, a toilet, a walk-in shower, a hair dryer, a bathroom stool, and a heated towel rack. A guest restroom with a sink area featuring a mirror, a shelf, and a toilet adds to the apartment’s comfort. The storage room belonging to the apartment contains a vacuum cleaner, cleaning supplies, a clothes drying rack, and—for our younger guests—a high chair and a travel crib. Pets are not allowed in the apartment. A private parking space (No. 72, entrance height 2.00 m) is located in the building’s underground garage. Take the elevator in Building A to the basement of the Meeresblickanlage, where a spacious and bright wellness area awaits you. Here, you can swim a few laps in the pool, get your circulation going in two saunas, relax your body in the adjacent relaxation room, enjoy a refreshing shower in the spiral shower and other showers, and breathe in the fresh air on an outdoor terrace with an outdoor shower. Bicycles you’ve brought with you or rented can be parked in the designated bicycle parking areas. These are located outdoors above the underground parking garage entrance in front of the Meeresblick building, and there is also a designated area for parking bicycles within the underground parking garage itself. You can book an initial linen package (complete set of bed linens, 1 shower towel, 2 small hand towels) for an additional fee up to 14 days before arrival, or supplement it with your own linens.
