Finca del Sur, a true vacation dream, is located in the heart of a nature reserve in the sunny southwest of the island of La Palma.

Finca del Sur was acquired by a new owner in the fall of 2024 and has since undergone extensive renovations. However, there will be further changes in the near future, all of which will serve to enhance the property.

With the Finca del Sur, located in the southwest of the island of La Palma near Fuencaliente, we offer you a truly special vacation home.
Once you’ve spent a vacation at Finca del Sur, this property on La Palma will certainly be among the places where you’ll want to—and will—return for future vacations.
Finca del Sur is a detached vacation home. It is surrounded by approximately 3,000 square meters of land with a well-maintained garden.
The access road to Finca del Sur is well-paved, so the house is easily accessible even on the rare rainy days.
Although it’s almost never needed, a Roman-style heater is available in the bathroom. Starting in the fall of 2025, a wood-burning stove will also be installed in the living room for heating. Until then, heating won’t be necessary anyway.
The house is located approximately 300 meters above sea level. The unique view of the Atlantic Ocean and the unforgettable sunsets, which you can enjoy from both the house and the pool, are a vacation experience in and of themselves.
The terrace below the house—which regular guests have dubbed the “Atlantic Cinema”—the hammock, and plenty of other seating areas invite you to linger at the finca.
You can also set out on hikes directly from the finca. For example, to the Tenegia or St. Antonio volcanoes, where the “Restaurante La Casa Del Volcán” is located. Or head to the southern coast toward Faro, with its salt flats, a restaurant, and the old lighthouse housing a small museum.
The fishing village of Puntalaga features two small beach restaurants. Between Faro and Puntalaga lies the swimming beach Playa Nueva. Playa de Zamora, with its swimming beach, freshwater showers, and a small seafood restaurant from which you can enjoy wildly romantic sunsets. You’ll find everyday necessities at the supermarket in the village of Las Indias, about 500 m away. On the way there, you’ll find a local tapas bar.
In Fuencaliente, the town on the LP2 main road, you’ll find several supermarkets (including a SPAR), two Italian pizzerias, the “Restaurante Era” (great meat dishes), a lovely bakery/café, a Panaderia Zulay—a traditional La Palma bakery—and the oldest bar on La Palma, Parada Bar, known island-wide for its almond cookies prepared according to old traditions...... and much more.
Above this town, several hiking trails begin through the pine forest.
Las Indias is just a few minutes’ drive away by rental car. More distant locations, such as the island’s capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma, or the town of Los Llanos on the west side, can only be reached by rental car.

Due to the largely unspoiled, expansive terrain within the nature reserve, the finca can only be rented by a maximum of 2 adults.

The magical interplay of the beautifully landscaped garden, the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean, and the lovingly furnished house gives the Finca del Sur a unique charm that’s hard to resist.
