Up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, one per level. The living room sofa is not a bed. Steep stairs lead to the main entry, and there are stairs between every level; this home is not wheelchair accessible. The wood-burning fireplace is for winter use.
🏡Neighborhood
Stateline Lookout trail starts right above the house, with the Tahoe East Shore Trail and Monkey Rock just minutes away, perfect for quieter fall hikes and golden afternoon light. Crystal Bay's restaurants and casinos are within walking distance for dinner out. Groceries are 5 to 10 minutes by car (Raley's in Incline Village, Safeway in Kings Beach), and the lake and beaches are a short drive, not a walk. The street is quiet and residential, though a few guests have noted road noise from nearby Highway 89.
🚗Getting around
A car is recommended; the lake, beaches, and grocery stores are a short drive away, though Crystal Bay's restaurants and casinos are an easy walk. Driveway parking fits 2 vehicles only; there's no street parking, so plan arrivals accordingly. In winter, 4WD or AWD (or chains) is recommended for the mountain roads, though this isn't usually needed for a fall stay.
Guest access
You'll have full, private access to the whole home: all three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, every deck, the patio, and the tiered garden. Entry is up a steep staircase to the main level, with more stairs between floors. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles in the driveway; there is no street parking, and the garage is not for guest use.
Interaction with guests
We respect your space and privacy, so you’ll have complete independence during your stay—but we’re always just a message away if you need anything.
Other things to note
Check-In & Check-Out
Standard check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you need special timing arrangements, please reach out before arrival and we’ll do our best to accommodate whenever possible.
🌲Air Conditioning:
Like many homes in the Lake Tahoe area, this property does not have air conditioning due to the region's typically mild mountain climate. Evenings usually cool down quickly, and fans are provided for your comfort. We recommend opening the windows in the evening to let in the cool mountain air and keep the home comfortable. 😊
Parking 🚗
Driveway parking is available for up to 2 vehicles. Due to the mountain setting and neighborhood conditions, we recommend arriving with only the number of vehicles the property comfortably accommodates.
Multi-Level Home 🏔️
This A-frame retreat includes multiple levels, stairs, and tiered outdoor areas. Guests should be comfortable navigating stairs to fully enjoy all sleeping spaces, decks, and living areas.
A Little Heads-Up About Our Stairs 🌲
Our home has so much character — and part of that charm comes with a staircase that's the main way in and out! We just want to make sure you're set up for the best possible stay: the stairs are a bit steep in places, so if you're traveling with elderly loved ones, little ones, or anyone who prefers to take things slow, it's worth planning around. Most of our guests find a relaxed pace up and down works just fine, and we're always just a message away if you'd like more details before booking. We just want everyone who stays with us to feel comfortable and prepared! 😊
Mountain Weather & Seasonal Travel ❄️
Tahoe weather can shift quickly throughout the year. During winter months, AWD/4WD vehicles are strongly recommended and chains may be required depending on road conditions. Please allow extra travel time during snow events.
Fireplace 🔥
Enjoy cozy evenings by the indoor fireplace while taking in the lake views. For everyone’s comfort and safety, please follow all fireplace instructions provided at the home. (winter use only)
Wildlife & Mountain Living 🦌🌲
Crystal Bay offers a true Tahoe experience, which means you may occasionally see local wildlife including deer and, at times, bears. Please keep doors closed, avoid leaving food outside, and secure trash properly.
Quiet Neighborhood 🤍
The home is located in a peaceful residential area and is best suited for relaxing getaways. We kindly ask guests to respect neighbors and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
No Smoking 🚭
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property, inside or outside. Crystal Bay is a high fire-danger area, and violations are subject to fines and deep-cleaning charges.
• Ring doorbell camera at the front door; no indoor cameras. Noise decibel monitors are also present on the property.
