Tucked away on a quiet, leafy street, this home puts you within walking distance of a cozy local coffee shop, perfect for remote meetings or a chatty morning with your fellow guests. Additionally, the lively neighborhood is a hub filled with shops and restaurants also within easy walking distance, including casual pizza and taco spots, a local brewery, and a movie theater for a night out.
A scenic creek trail is just a short drive away for fresh air and outdoor time, along with a riverfront park that hosts concerts and events throughout the year. A historic fort and an additional full-service grocery store are also close by. With easy access to the interstate, you're just a short drive from downtown Portland, making this the perfect home base for exploring the best of both Vancouver and the greater Portland area.
There is no upstairs access. There is a gate with a clear sign that there is no guest access upstairs.
There is an unfinished basement however, we ask that guests respect the owner’s storage and space, and only access it upon request should there be a need (electrical panel is in the basement).
There is a deck out back that we ask guests to not utilize; it needs to be reinforced with railings, etc to be safe to use. It is NOT available to walk on or play on. There is an outdoor dining table that guests are welcome to use should they choose to and please note that the exterior space is shared with the tenant who lives in the detached ADU behind the house.
Parking is on-street in front of the house, there is room for two cars in front of the house.
This home offers a bright, open living area anchored by a comfortable leather sectional with a hidden pull-out queen sleeper, perfect for extra guests. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with brand-new appliances, including an electric range, dishwasher, and in-unit washer/dryer, making it easy to cook and settle in like home. A dining area comfortably seats six, ideal for shared meals. Down the hall, you'll find two well-appointed bedrooms — one with a plush king bed, the other with a cozy queen — along with a full bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. Throughout the home, refinished hardwood floors, fresh paint, and all-new furnishings give the space a clean, updated feel from top to bottom.
This neighborhood has solid options if guests want to get around without a car. C-Tran, the local bus system, runs right through the area with a stop within easy walking distance, offering connections across Vancouver and into downtown Portland. It's also a walkable neighborhood, so many everyday errands can be done on foot. For those who prefer two wheels, the area is bike-friendly, with routes connecting to nearby trails for a more scenic ride. And for anyone who'd rather not deal with parking downtown, rideshare makes it easy to hop into Vancouver's core or across the river to Portland.
There is currently no A/C however there are ceiling fans and the house stays relatively cool during the day as the house is shaded well.
Again, please remember there is a long term tenant who lives in the house on the same property behind the rental. They may access the shared “backyard” space that is in between both units so you may see them tending to the garden every now and again.
The home may include a decibel monitoring sensor to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels throughout the property. It allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Tampering is prohibited.
