Magic School Bus in historic Martin City offers a memorable getaway

Tucked inside Bad Rock Canyon, the Magic School Bus offers a one-of-a-kind getaway just outside Glacier National Park. Visitors have the chance to stay in a yellow retrofitted bus with a cozy queen bed, small indoor living space with a couch, desk, and a full kitchen. From the windows of the bus enjoy the buzzing of the bees in the wildflower garden, or step outside under the cottonwood trees to enjoy the fresh air on your private outdoor patio. Bad Rock Canyon naturally shields the area from much of Flathead Valley’s light pollution and on a clear night, offers incredible Big Sky stargazing just outside your door.

The property is designed with the environment in mind – everything is solar powered, and many materials have been upcycled, recycled, and reused. Guests have a private entrance, shower and composting toilet.

The property is about a 10 minute drive from the west entrance of Glacier National Park, 10 minutes from Hungry Horse Dam and Reservoir, 25 minutes from Glacier Park International Airport, and 25 minutes from Whitefish.

We live onsite and are in the process of building a home (art project and future hostel) on the property. We’ll be available by text as needed.
