About this apartment rental
We keep a close eye on messages before and during each stay, and the fastest way to reach us is right through your booking platform. We're always happy to help with arrival questions, parking, local recommendations, or anything that would make your stay more comfortable.
Every guest also gets a private guidebook for the home, on your phone, no app. Step by step arrival with photos so you're never guessing at the door, simple how-tos for the WiFi, TV, laundry and more, and our hand-picked guide to the neighborhood with around 150 local spots we actually recommend. It's the difference between figuring it out alone and feeling like a local from the first hour.
Ashland House sits on the Lincoln Park and Lakeview border, one of the most convenient parts of Chicago to stay in. You'll be near DePaul, Wrigleyville, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and a deep bench of restaurants and coffee shops. Walk to dinner or a game, spend a morning at the lakefront, or take the 'L' downtown. It's a quiet place to come home to while staying close to everything.
You have the full two-level duplex. The shared outdoor areas, backyard seating and a rooftop patio above the garage, are shared with other building occupants and are best from mid-April through mid-November. Your car is handled with free street parking usually available nearby, subject to posted signs.
There's plenty of room to spread out across two floors. It sleeps up to seven in beds, with a couch and air mattress for flexibility.
Upstairs: a bright kitchen and dining area, one queen bedroom, and a full bathroom with a shower.
Downstairs: a large lounge with a fireplace and TV, two bedrooms (one queen, one with a bunk bed), a full bathroom with a tub and shower, and in-unit laundry.
Please note there are stairs inside the unit and at the entrance. Central air conditioning throughout.
Getting to what you came for is easy here. Major bus lines are steps away and the Diversey 'L' (Red, Brown, Purple) is about a 10-minute walk, so downtown, Wrigley, and the lakefront are all a quick trip and most guests leave the car parked. If you do drive, your car is handled with free street parking usually available right nearby, subject to city signs.
A Two-Level Duplex: This is a comfortable two-story home with stairs both inside the unit and at the entrance. It sits on Ashland, a busy street, but the bedrooms are set toward the back, so they stay quiet.
