The Space:
A second-floor apartment in the Rond Point area, Vail Lodge places you ski-in and ski-out from the back of the building. Exit down to the Solaise or Bellevarde lifts in minutes, and return via the Santons or Aiguilles runs, crossing the bridge back to your doorstep.
The entrance hall opens into a practical cloakroom area for coats, hats, and outdoor shoes, with a separate WC and sink just off it. Beyond that, the apartment unfolds into a generous open-plan space where kitchen, dining, and living areas merge. Ten upholstered chairs gather around a natural wood dining table, while the kitchen offers a breakfast bar with four stools, a large fridge with two-drawer freezer, a second smaller drinks fridge, electric hob with oven below, a second combination oven and microwave, juicer, toaster, kettle, and Nespresso machine. A separate laundry room provides a washing machine, tumble dryer, storage, and sink.
The living area centres around two large sofas and an occasional armchair, warmed by a faux fireplace. Off towards the bedrooms, a TV snug offers two sofas facing a wall-mounted television, along with a desk and printer for anyone needing to work or study.
Five bedrooms sit across the apartment. To the left of the entry hall, Bedroom 1 is a twin with two single beds (90cm x 200cm) that can be fixed together to form a king double (180cm x 200cm), with an en-suite bathroom featuring a rain head shower, sink, WC, and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 sits next door, identically configured as a twin that converts to a king, with a larger en-suite offering double sinks, rain head shower, WC, and heated towel rail.
The master bedroom, Bedroom 3, is accessed through the TV snug area. Another twin that converts to a king, it has a private suite feel with an en-suite including double sinks, a bathtub, a separate rain head shower, WC, and heated towel rail.
Bedrooms 4 and 5 share a corridor with a central bathroom between them. The bunk room, Bedroom 4, has two single beds (90cm x 190cm) stacked, with limited floorspace and no outside window. The top bunk has restricted ceiling height, making the room best suited to children, teenagers, or a single adult. The shared bathroom offers a rain head shower, sink, WC, and heated towel rail. Bedroom 5, at the far end, is a double with a queen bed (160cm x 200cm) and a desk. All bedrooms have good storage.
The apartment faces south-west, with a lift serving the second floor. The ski locker with boot warmers is located on the same floor, just down the corridor from the front door, an unusual and convenient arrangement.
Guest Access:
The full apartment is yours for the duration of your stay. Underground parking provides one space on site, with a garage height of 2.10 metres. A lift serves the second floor where the apartment is situated.
The Neighborhood:
Rond Point sits towards the quieter end of Val d'Isère, with the slopes quite literally at the back door. The centre of Val d'Isère is a 10 to 15 minute walk away, where restaurants, bars, and shops line the streets. A bus stop directly opposite the residence connects you to the wider resort.
Getting Around:
In resort, a free shuttle bus runs every 10 to 15 minutes during the day and every 20 to 30 minutes until 2am, stopping directly opposite the residence and connecting to the town centre and lifts. Walking to the centre takes 10 to 15 minutes. For arrivals, airport transfers are available from Geneva, Lyon, and Chambéry.
Other Things to Note:

The bunk room has limited floorspace, no outside window, and restricted ceiling height above the top bunk, making it best suited to children, teenagers, or a single adult rather than two adults. The ski locker with boot warmers is conveniently located on the same floor as the apartment, just down the corridor.
