The home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests with:

* 1 bunk room with 2 bunk beds (perfect for kids or groups)

You’ll also have a fully equipped kitchen, fresh linens, and starter supplies for dish soap and laundry needs. Bath towels and separate lake towels are provided. Professional cleaning is completed before and after your stay.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Our waterfront property features a private, deep water dock (typically 6 feet deep), perfect for swimming. You’re welcome to enjoy our 2 kayaks, long canoe, floats and lawn chairs, all located in the shed, steps from the dock. We also boast multiple areas to sit and enjoy the view. From the cozy dock-side patio, to the waterfront fire-pit and adirondack chairs. The enormous back deck simply can’t be beat for morning coffee or evening cocktails while soaking in the sights and sounds of beautiful Lake Norman!
Be aware, lake levels drop during drought and some winter months, making the depth closer to 3 ft during those times.

WELCOME HOME
The open concept main living space includes a well stocked kitchen, a chaise lounge with water views, a cozy couch and modern TV and a dining table with room for 8. Just off the kitchen you’ll find a washer and dryer for your convenience.

BEDROOMS and BATHS
The bedrooms in the home are just what you need for your getaway. The master bedroom features a king size mattress with a roomy closet and a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower. The 1st guest bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, a small desk and a walk in closet. The 2nd guest bedroom is a kid’s paradise with 4 twin size bunks and a dresser. The guest bedrooms share a second full bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

If all the lake has to offer isn’t enough - there’s plenty to do and see right around the corner! Mountain Creek State Park is just 5 minutes down the road and offers hiking, biking trails, boardwalks, pickle ball and tennis courts and the coolest playground your kids have seen! Covered picnic areas and a nature museum make this new park a must see while you’re here!

You also have easy access to the new Publix grocery - which has everything you could need, including firewood and ice. There’s also a farmer’s market, multiple bars, restaurants, a wine bar and even fast food options. Mooresville is about 20 minutes away and offers even more options including a movie theater and Walmart. And of course, If you’re looking for the city vibes, Charlotte is only 45 minutes away and offers everything from museums to Michelin star dining.

For those with a boat to launch - The Shady Lady is located minutes from two convenient boat ramps: McCrary Creek Access Area - 1437 River Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117 (11 minute drive) and the Long Island Road Boat Ramp at 8268 Long Island Rd, Catawba, NC 28609 (19 minutes drive). Both are open to the public and offer parking.

You can use all areas of the house including the terrace and other areas around the house to relax and enjoy a splash on the lake

To ensure a peaceful stay for all guests and neighbors:

* No use of the owner’s boat
* Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
