Timber cabin with stone fireplace and fell views

This cabin in Vegglifjell consists of two log cabins from the 1800s and offers a stay where traditional craftsmanship meets modern comforts. Rustic materials characterize every room, and the large terrace offers sweeping views of the high mountains.



Here, the ski trails are right outside your door, with over 100 km of groomed cross-country trails to explore. If you prefer downhill skiing, the ski resort is just 300 meters away.



Inside, the large stone fireplace dominates the living room, lending the space depth and character. The old timber framing in the walls enhances the rustic atmosphere throughout the cabin, while modern amenities ensure a comfortable stay.



Trails lead directly from the cabin up to the high mountains at the edge of Hardangervidda, and the cabin includes fishing rights for trout in several mountain lakes. The mountain cabin 2 km away serves food and drinks for those who want to take a break along the way.



Håvardsrud, a mountain farm with livestock and homemade sour cream, butter, and baked goods from a wood-fired oven, is 15 minutes away. An hour’s drive takes you to Gaustatoppen or Rjukan with Vemork, and in the opposite direction you’ll find Langedrag Nature Park.
