Beyond nature's wonders, you can explore attractions like the Launceston Steam Railway, delve into Plymouth's maritime history, discover the legendary Tintagel Castle, and visit numerous National Trust properties, as well as explore the charming market towns of Holsworthy, Launceston, and Okehampton, all within 30 miles.
Ascend the stairs and enter this splendid shepherd’s hut, where you'll immediately discover a studio-style living space that seamlessly unfolds into a cozy yet surprisingly spacious lounge, kitchen, and sleeping area. This generously proportioned and beautifully airy room features a cottage style door leading to the outside and offers breathtaking countryside views. In the lounge, a comforting wood-burning stove and a comfortable sofa create an ideal spot for relaxation, no matter the weather. The compact yet meticulously designed and well-equipped kitchen includes all the essentials needed for a stress-free stay. Another notable highlight is the king-size bed, accessible from both sides and equipped with practical built-in storage. To round out the accommodations, a roomy shower room with a large shower, WC, and complimentary toiletries and use of bathrobes ensures a comfortable stay in this picturesque rural setting.
Stepping outside directly to the front of the hut is an extensive delightful lawn area with garden furniture, charcoal BBQ / fire pit. This area also boasts panoramic views over the lake to the fields beyond and provides a perfect place to dine alfresco in warm weather. Guests also benefit from access to a shared outside cedar barrel shaped sauna room (first session complimentary thereafter a small charge applies directly with owner). There is also the fabulous facility of a shared lakeside summer house with seating, an honesty bar, Bar Billiards table, and a large, decked area with garden furniture and garden games including a 9 hole mini-golf course, Croquet and Boule court.
