About this house rental
Set on a quaint seven acre smallholding, with horses, sheep, cats and dogs, that you are welcome to visit, near to the delightful village of Cwmdu. Overlooking wonderful rolling countryside this is the perfect venue for a couple to enjoy the best that Carmarthenshire has to offer. Excellent for walkers and cyclists, with nearby trails and bicycle storage available. Nearby Talley Park Walk and lake are idyllic and there is an eclectic mix of shops and eateries to be enjoyed at nearby Llandeilo. For history lovers there is a well preserved Iron Age hill fort at Maes y Castell. Aberglasney Gardens or visit the beautiful National Botanic Garden of Wales, only 15 miles away and well worth a visit. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).
Enter into this charming converted former threshing barn into a light and airy open-plan lounge/diner, with tasteful decor throughout and a comfortable sofa and a wood burner effect electric fire, to compliment the underfloor heating. A truly cosy cottage any time of the year. There is a TV, DVD and CD player to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen is well-laid out and has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge with ice compartment and a washing machine. There is a pretty first floor bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request at the time of booking) with beams providing a wealth of charm and an en-suite shower and WC, making this the perfect retreat for those planning a romantic break in the country. (Regret no children or babes in arms).
Outside there is a good-sized, enclosed garden with patio looking out over the fields. A super spot to enjoy some al fresco dining. There is also a BBQ, private parking for one car and bicycle storage available, to take advantage of the local trails.
