About this cottage rental
Ideally located close to some of North Devon’s finest beaches, you can explore Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe from this property, and all are popular with surfers and bathers alike. The regional towns of Barnstaple and South Molton are nearby with popular pannier markets. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy the Tarka Trail and walk through the surrounding landscape, stunning in any season. A short car journey will take you to the village of High Bickington where two local pubs nestle, and all are welcome; you will also find the community shop here which sells a range of produce. Other attractions include the gardens at RHS Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal, Quince Honey Farm and The Milky Way Adventure Park.
Entering the stylish property, you are immediately greeted by a hall with a useful cloakroom where you can hang coats and store sandy shoes after a day on the beach. From here, step into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a contemporary wood burner-effect electric fire. Settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV. The perfectly equipped kitchen has an induction hob and electric oven which cleverly doubles up as a microwave, plus a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and washing machine; it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. Head up the beautiful oak staircase to the king-size bedroom which boasts a stunning apex ceiling complete with exposed beams. Completing the accommodation is the contemporary en-suite shower room with a shower and WC.
Outside, there is a private secluded courtyard garden with a gate that leads to the shared enclosed dog paddock with its far-reaching countryside views, great for both you and your four-legged friends to enjoy and relax in. You'll also find a table and chairs, as well a hot tub, which is particularly inviting at night you can enjoy the warm bubbling water under the star-filled skies. Off-road parking for one car can be found next to the property.
