About this cottage rental
Set on the outskirts of the small market town of Sanquhar, the cottage is surrounded by beautiful scenery and rolling hills. Explore Britain’s first official coast-to-coast footpath, the Southern Upland Way, or fish for wild salmon in the River Nith at the end of the garden. Sanquhar has a range of amenities including a café, pub, bakery, golf club, park and picnic area. There are many attractions to explore including Crawick Multiverse (1.5 miles), Drumlanrig Castle & Gardens (10.5 miles), Museum of Lead Mining (10 miles) and Leadhills and Wanlockhead Railway (11 miles), making this a great destination to explore Dumfries and Galloway.
Step into the large living and dining area, the ideal space for unwinding after a long day of exploring the local area. The space is light and airy with French doors leading to the garden and a large skylight. There is also a Smart TV, so settle down and watch a movie as the nights draw in. Enjoy a romantic meal for two at the dining table or plan your next day. The spacious bedroom features a luxurious super-king-size bed (which can be made into a twin at request). There is a shower room with a waterfall shower and WC.
Throw open the patio doors onto the enclosed lawn overlooking the River Nith. Enjoy al fresco drinks on the garden furniture and look out for the wild salmon jumping!
