Cirencester, known as the Capital of the Cotswolds, is 5.5 miles away and offers a variety of independent boutiques, museums and fantastic pubs and restaurants. Tetbury, home to the royal residence at Highgrove House, is 13 miles away and well worth a visit.

After a full day exploring the lakes, head back to your New England-style lodge, which has been finished to a luxurious standard throughout. Head straight into the open-plan living area which occupies the ground floor. The spacious lounge is equipped with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV, ideal for a relaxing evening spent catching up on your favourite show. Enjoy a meal on the dining table which will comfortably seat your whole group. Step through into the stylish kitchen, fully equipped with everything you will need for a self-catered holiday. Also, downstairs is a useful cloakroom with a WC. Make your way upstairs and you will find the three well-appointed bedrooms. The master has a lovely king-size bed with views across Windrush Lake and a lovely en-suite shower room. Across the landing are the other two bedrooms, one double and a twin room, making this lodge ideal for friends and families exploring the area. Next door, completing the property you will find the charming family-style bathroom.

Head out through the patio doors in the lounge and onto the fantastic decking which enjoys far-reaching views across the lake. Dine alfresco on the outdoor table and chairs, perhaps enjoying some of the wonderful local produce you are sure to find across the region. A real highlight of this property is the hot tub, which allows you to make the most of this stunning setting.
