Set in the beating heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, this charming former mill offers a tranquil escape surrounded by waterfalls, streams, woodlands and grazing sheep. Sleeping two guests, it’s the perfect base for couples or solo travellers seeking a mix of relaxation and adventure. Enthusiastic walkers will enjoy the direct pathway up to the summit of Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons. 4 miles away lies the historic market town of Brecon, where Georgian architecture lines the streets and independent shops, cosy pubs and inviting restaurants await. For lovers of the great outdoors, the national park is on your doorstep, with endless opportunities for walking, cycling and exploring. You can hire a mountain bike or try pony trekking at Cantref Adventure Farm (2 miles), while Llangorse Lake (8.5 miles) offers the chance to try sailing, paddleboarding, or kayaking surrounded by stunning mountain views. History buffs will be spoilt for choice, with some of Europe’s most remarkable castles also nearby.

The sleek, contemporary kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catered stay, complete with a dining table ideal for intimate breakfasts and romantic suppers. The sleeping area is thoughtfully tucked behind a partial partition, creating a sense of privacy while maintaining the open, airy feel of the space. Here, a plush double bed and built-in wardrobe provide comfort and convenience in equal measure.
Outside, the enclosed patio is made for laid-back outdoor living, with a charcoal BBQ and dining furniture on hand for summer evenings under the stars. Off-road parking for two cars ensures easy access throughout your stay.
