Situated between Windermere and Morecambe Bay, the picturesque hamlet of Witherslack makes a wonderful base for exploring the beautiful countryside of south Cumbria. Walkers, nature lovers and cyclists can head to Bigland Barrow and Fell Foot (both 9 miles) on the edge of Windermere. There are some wonderful nature reserves to explore, including Foulshaw Moss, Meathop Moss Nature Reserve and Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve (all within 2.5 miles). Other local attractions and landmarks include Sizergh Castle (5 miles), Levens Hall (6.5 miles) and Holker Hall and Gardens (9.5 miles).
The pretty market town of Cartmel (7.5 miles) and the coastal village of Grange-over-Sands (6.5 miles) have a great range of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and friendly pubs to unwind in. A few steps lead up and into this breezy and welcoming property, with the ground-floor porch providing a useful space for leaving coats and boots. The fresh and airy lounge runs the length of the house, providing ample space for everyone to gather and unwind. The lounge has plenty of seating, a Smart TV and wood burner, making it a great space for enjoying a film or chatting late into the night. Exploring the ground floor further, the spacious kitchen/diner makes a lovely area for cooking and sharing all your favourite family meals. The stylishly designed kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and two larder-style fridges, while the large dining table is ideally positioned in the bay window, offering a delightful view. There’s also a utility room with a freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and extra WC. Four of the property’s five light and relaxing bedrooms can be found on the lower ground floor overlooking the garden. The first room is a lovely double room with French doors opening onto a peaceful and secluded courtyard. This room also has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. There’s also a second pretty double room with an en-suite shower room complete with a shower and WC. Two twin rooms, which can be made up as king-size on request at the point of booking, each have plenty of storage space. The room has double doors and a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden, providing an ideal spot for a morning coffee.
