About this house rental
The kitchen-dining area and living room feature vaulted ceilings and a wood-burning stove, and a ladder leads up to the spacious loft with a skylight—a favorite reading spot with a view of the sky and treetops—or where you can listen to the patter of rain on rainy days.
Both bedrooms offer direct access to the deck and a view of the garden from the bed.
The house’s third room is furnished as an office and creative space with a daybed, inviting tranquility and contemplation. The house has two well-appointed bathrooms, one with a large bathtub—perfect for a cozy bath with the kids or a quiet wellness moment.
The large wooden terrace features a covered dining area, a shelter, a hammock, and sun loungers. At the opposite end, you’ll find an outdoor shower with hot water. Meals can be enjoyed under the open sky by the outdoor sink, a large gas grill, and a wood-burning fireplace. In the evening, the cozy outdoor lighting enhances the vacation atmosphere both on the deck and inside the house. The garden is spacious and surrounded by bountiful raspberry bushes as well as tall oak, birch, and pine trees. It’s teeming with butterflies, and if you’re lucky, you might even be visited by squirrels or deer.
A short walk or bike ride will take you to the quiet, child-friendly beach. There are also great trails for walking in the woods and along the beach. Hals Seaside Golf is a five-minute walk from the house. At the harbor in Hals or Hou, you can buy an ice cream cone, and Restaurant Raalignen in Hou offers a delicious meal. Aalborg is a half-hour drive away and offers many great cultural experiences for both children and adults, such as Aalborg Zoo, Kunsten, and the Utzon Center.
