About this house rental

Enjoying a peaceful location within the heart of Kinnerton, a traditional hamlet surrounded by stunning countryside, this single-storey detached property is perfect for families and small groups wanting to explore the Welsh borders. The area offers plenty for guests to see and do; enthusiastic walkers can set off from the front door and enjoy a network of footpaths and bridleways that lead into the Radnor Hills. Just 5 miles away is the market town of Kington, which offers a choice of good shops, pubs, and restaurants. The town, surrounded by The Marches, is also renowned as a centre for walking, and you can join the Offa’s Dyke footpath from here. Alternatively, explore the Mortimer Trail and the lovely walks to Hergest Ridge (7 miles). Discover Presteigne (6.5 miles), which nestles at the heart of The Marches and home to the award-winning Judge’s Lodging Museum. Visit Hay-on-Wye with its literary festival and bookshops, Builth Wells famed for the Royal Welsh Show and the medieval town of Ludlow, are less than 25 miles away.

This stylish bungalow is set back off a country lane with gated access. Accessed via the front door, the entrance lobby is where you will find ample storage for muddy boots, a place to hang coats and a convenient space with laundry facilities. From here, you can access the kitchen, which is well equipped with everything a family will need during their stay. There's a sit up breakfast bar ensuring the nominated cooks don't have to miss out on the conversations. This area opens into a cosy snug where you can relax and enjoy the far-reaching views across the hillsides with Wimble Hill standing proud. French doors lead you outside onto the large patio. For relaxing in the evenings, head into the spacious lounge/diner, tastefully furnished with a generously sized corner sofa and a Smart TV. The dining area is suitable for six guests and enjoys wonderful countryside views. A hallway from the snug offers guests the choice of three beautifully finished bedrooms: a twin room with ottoman storage beds and a TV; a king-size ottoman bed with stunning views to wake up to; and a lovely double bedroom. There is a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower, as well as a separate cloakroom with a WC.

Outside, guests can unwind and enjoy the far-reaching countryside views from the enclosed gardens. The large picnic table and BBQ are perfect for summer dining, along with a couple of sun loungers for a lazy afternoon watching the wildlife.
