Nearby Llangollen (8 miles) boasts steam trains, horse-drawn canal boats and the River Dee, while the market town of Oswestry (7 miles) is home to a golf course, and Ellesmere (7 miles) is famous for its racecourse. Walkers and cyclists can explore the trails on the Offa’s Dyke Path, the Horseshoe Pass or World’s End to name a few, while thrill-seekers should make the most of the white-water rafting and canoeing in the local area.
