About this cottage rental
Located near to the quay, beach and convenient for the local pubs and stores, this luxurious property is peacefully located and ideally suited for families. Enjoy the natural beauty of Polruan set to the backdrop of Fowey river and town. Hop on the passenger ferry to Fowey and take advantage of the independent shops and restaurants on offer or enjoy a circular walk to Bodinnick when visiting Daphne Du Maurier’s home. Alternatively, go further afield to explore the small villages that hug this south Cornish coastline from Kingsands and Cawsands on the Rame peninsular to the beauty of Charlestown’s Georgian harbour made famous by the TV series, Poldark. Attractions nearby include Lanhydrock House, the Eden Project, Anthony House and Mount Edgcumbe estate.
Upon entering the property on the ground floor into the hallway, guests will immediately gain a sense of light and space which features throughout this stunning abode. The full height glass windows flood the room with light and overlook the Fowey River. The wide hallway has a handy coat and shoe cupboard, and three of the bedrooms, one twin bedroom, which can be made into a super-king, with en-suite shower and WC and two double bedrooms. One has an en-suite shower and WC, the other has an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Stairs lead down to the lower ground floor’s impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which has been designed to make the most of the river view to Fowey with full height windows and doors overlooking the garden and stunning coastal scenery beyond. The lounge area provides a comfortable place to relax and catch up with friends and family with large sofas and Smart 55" TV. The stylish kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob and fridge/freezer, everything required for holiday dining, and to help with the cleaning after, a handy dishwasher. This lovely entertaining space also has a dining area with views and there’s a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There’s also a separate WC on this floor. Heading down to the lower ground floor, there is a cinema room with 65" Smart TV, 7.1 surround sound system, sofa and bean bags to laze on. The bedrooms on this floor include a spacious double bedroom with great views and en-suite shower room and WC, and the master king-size bedroom is superb with separate dressing room leading to an en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath, walk-in shower and WC. A step then rises to the hidden gem of a sauna room for you to relax after a full day exploring.
