We’ve put care into creating a clean, peaceful place for you to enjoy whether it be watching Netflix with your traveling companions, dining outdoors on the decking or out at the restaurant strip close by, soaking in a hot bath after a day of sightseeing local attractions or children playing games provided in the living room.
MOBILITY ACCESS
Catani house is a spacious, uncluttered one level home with ease of using a mobility device. It features beautiful Tasmanian oak floor boards throughout with tiled bathroom floors.
The front has 3 steps to the porch with handrails from the pathway. The back decking has 2 low, wide steps to enter the house. There is also a driveway leading from the road where you can park free in front of the house.
We have a walk-in shower in the main bathroom for ease of entry.
COMFY & COSY
The living room has an Electric fireplace or you might enjoy the reverse cycle air conditioning for warmth or cooling depending on the season.
Bedrooms- choose from bedroom 1 with a king size bed and powder room, bedroom 2 with twin single beds or bedroom 3 with a queen size bed.
All beds a fitted with electric blankets and the rooms have slimline wall heaters for your comfort.
COMPLIMENTARY START-UP
To help our guests settle in, we supply a variety of teas, sugar and coffee pods and long life milk just to get you started. The pantry has basic condiments such as salt, pepper, oil etc.
Feel free to help yourself to any fruit in season in the backyard.
NO CAR - NO PROBLEM!
We have our diesel Citroen station wagon available through Drive Mate for rent. It’s a super comfy and an economical vehicle for touring around. Contact your Host through Stayz for more details.
Catani is just a ten minute stroll up the road to local shops including Whisk & Co Cafe/Coffee and Banjos Bakery which both have dine in and takeout. Salamanca supermarket is also close by for your supplies along with a Pharmacy and post office.
GETTING AROUND
Bus stop 15 is located on the same road, one house to the left and this is for your drop off exit from North Hobart & the City. On the opposite side of the road, turn left and up the road is the bus stop for a direct route trip to North Hobart and the City.

- Kunyani/Mt Wellington is just under 30mins away 1,271 metres above sea level with spectacular views from an enclosed lookout near the summit spanning the city, Derwent River and the famous cliff of dolerite columns known as the Organ Pipes.
