About this cottage rental
Situated in a quiet corner of the village of Bellingham, this charming cottage offers comfortable accommodation with access to picturesque surroundings including the romantic Hareshaw Linn waterfall and woodland walk. The village provides plenty of shops, pubs, and restaurants, while outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the nearby 18-hole golf course. Kielder Forest and Water Park, just 10 miles away at Tower Knowe visitor centre, offers numerous outdoor activities and trails for cycling and walking. The area boasts Dark Sky Park status, perfect for stargazing opportunities. History buffs can explore Roman heritage at Housesteads Fort, 17 miles away, while Northumberland's golden sands and coastal villages make excellent day trips. For the adventurous, the 'Northumberland 250' route showcases remote rolling hills and remarkable coastlines. This cosy retreat is an ideal place to stay for couples and welcomes up to two dogs.
The cottage features a welcoming hallway with space for outdoor gear. The well-equipped kitchen includes all you need for preparing tasty meals, along with a convenient pull-out breakfast table. The open-plan lounge/diner provides comfortable seating where you can unwind in front of the cosy wood burner while watching TV or a DVD. The spacious double bedroom offers lovely garden views and includes a comfortable chair, creating a peaceful haven for relaxation and restful sleep. A shower room with WC completes the practical interior layout, making this compact cottage both a functional and comfortable holiday getaway.
To the front of the property, an enclosed gravelled garden with furniture offers a perfect spot to relax with a drink after a day of activities, with a gate leading directly to the village. The rear garden, accessed across the lane, provides additional outdoor space with more garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ for alfresco dining. Both gardens are enclosed, giving dogs freedom to play safely. Private parking is available for one car.
