About this cottage rental
Take in the outstanding countryside views from this charming traditional barn conversion situated on the owners’ farm. With the coastal village of Instow just 3 miles away, you can enjoy a daily romp on the beach and pick up essentials at the mini-supermarket. There are plenty of pubs to choose from here, or in Barnstaple (4.5 miles) and Bideford (5 miles), both of which offer more opportunities for shopping. Spend beach days at Westward Ho! (7 miles) or venture further to the surfing meccas of Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe (within 16 miles). Tapeley House and Gardens, The Milky Way, and The Big Sheep all offer memorable family days out (all within 14 miles).
Inside, the accommodation boasts exposed beams, stone flooring and original lead windows. The kitchen is bright and airy with a high ceiling and skylight. Here you will find an electric oven and hob, fridge with small freezer compartment and microwave. Once prepared, enjoy meals in the dining area that sits in the window next door before retreating to the cosy lounge area for the evening. With exposed beams and ceiling trusses above and a stone fireplace with a wood burner-effect electric fire at one end, this is a homely space in which to relax and enjoy the TV/DVD. Shower room with WC on the first floor. The cottage has two bedrooms: one king-size bedroom on the ground floor with an additional Z bed, and one twin bedroom, found on the first floor. Laundry needs can be taken care of in the shared laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
On sunny days, while away the hours outside in the lawned garden, where you’ll find garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for cooking up an al fresco dinner. Children will love the opportunity to meet resident chickens and lambs (in the springtime) and you can enjoy fresh air with your dogs in the dedicated dog exercise field.
