About this cottage rental

This quaint cottage is situated in a central yet quieter part of the village within walking distance of the quaint cobbled streets, many cafes, pubs and independent shops on offer. From the property, enjoy the views over Appledore and the estuary, where the two rivers meet. Enjoy a drink or a meal in one of the local pubs or restaurants and admire the views across to Instow beach, you can even take the ferry across to Instow during the summer months. Appledore is home to the annual Appledore Book Festival in September, which is one of the most vibrant cultural Festivals in the UK and celebrates literature and arts by the sea. In the area, there are stunning walks along the coastal path or the famous Tarka Trail. For days out there are many beaches including the miles of golden sands at Westward Ho! and Woolacombe as well as family attractions.

On entering the beautiful cottage, which is located within walking distance of the sea front and many local amenities, you are welcomed by the light and airy lounge/dining area. Within the lounge there is a wood burner for nights in when you’re looking to cosy up under a throw in front of the TV after a day exploring the beautiful North Devon coastline. Leading off the lounge is the well-appointed kitchen, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Great for budding cooks should you choose to bring back local ingredients from the nearby shops, the local butcher or fresh fish from the coast. Heading up the steep cottage staircase you will find one king size bedroom which boasts breath-taking views. Through the dressing room/landing you will find the bathroom with freestanding bath, handheld shower and a separate shower and WC. Heading up the second set of cottage stairs you will find the twin bedroom with fantastic views.

Heading outside from the kitchen, the property has a quaint, enclosed courtyard space with garden furniture and gate access. A great place for a spot of tea or to allow the dog to dry off after a long walk along the beach. There is roadside parking available subject to availability, alternatively there is a long stay car park located nearby.
